Ceramic bisque is vastly different from plaster products.  A ceramic piece is created in two steps.  The clay is cast in a ceramic mold, dried and cleaned of imperfections.  Then the piece is fired in the kiln at 2000F degrees for 10 hours.  Now the fun begins.  The bisque is painted with special pigment glazes and a high gloss glaze is applied.  Then the piece is fired once again in the kiln at 1950F degrees for 8 hours.  The end product is a quality ceramic piece that can be displayed for many years!

** After the ceramic pieces are painted, We must take the pieces & fire them in the kiln.  You will receive your order within 3-5 business days. **

How do I plan a birthday ceramic party?  How much does it cost?

You should schedule your party with GlazeyDays at least 2 weeks in advance to ensure we have an opening available for your party.  We require you to put down a 50% deposit.  GlazeyDays charges a class fee of $6.00 per child plus the cost of a bisque piece and firing charges:

Bisque piece  $4 + Class fee $6 + Firing fee $2 = $12 per child

Bisque piece  $6 + Class fee $6 + Firing fee $2 = $14 per child

Bisque piece  $9 + Class fee $6 + Firing fee $3 = $18 per child

Bisque piece $12 + Class fee $6 + Firing fee $4 = $22 per child

We also can customize any piece to create a unique piece.

What makes GlazeyDays different from most ceramic/ pottery places?

We make ready-to-paint bisque daily from our extensive ceramic mold inventory.  We do not rely on a third party for delivery therefore you are guaranteed to receive your entire order on time.  We also have over one hundred different colors to choose from including specialty crystal glazes.    If you do not see an item that you are looking for, we will make every effort to meet your wishes.

Why is GlazeyDays more expensive than plaster fun establishments?

A ceramic piece is fired in the kiln twice for a total of 18 hours which uses a good deal of energy.  Special pigment glazes  cost much more than acrylic paints, about 4 times the cost. The end product is a ceramic piece that is waterproof and weatherproof.  Plaster cannot withstand any of these elements.  Ceramic pieces are much more durable than plaster.

Why is GlazeyDays less expensive than other pottery establishments?

We make our own ready-to-paint bisque which cuts out the middle man.  We pass on this savings to you to make ceramics more affordable for everyone to enjoy.
